We have driven past the exit for this beautiful preserve many times over the past 4 years, and finally had the opportunity to visit.

It’s beautiful. Though I didn’t capture a lot of photos of the birds, there were SO many.  Don got some great shots of them in flight and along the banks of the water.

The hike is flat and easy; good for kids and there is LOTS of free parking on both sides of the highway.

I’d love to see what it looks like at different times of the year.
