I have a thing for dark daylight and back lit clouds.

And moody, dreamy weather that changes to bright and hot sunlight and back again over and over.

Wild elk, taken in from the roadside. I can still feel the magic of happening upon this treasure on our way home from our hike. There was a man on the side of the road when we slowed down to see if he needed help and he whispered “look up”. We pulled over and joined him as remaining traffic flew by.

The last time I visited this spot was with my best friend, Jen, about 10 years prior to this trip. she is gone from this realm, but she was with me here… just like she always is.
